Garbage, Recycling, and Large Debris

Household Garbage — Green Cart

Regular collection day: Monday.

  • Place the county-provided cart at the curb before 6:00 a.m.
  • Bag household garbage and place it inside the cart with the arrows pointing toward the roadway.
  • Keep the cart at least three feet from mailboxes, vehicles, recycling carts, utility poles, and other obstructions.

Recycling — Blue Cart

Regular collection day: second Tuesday of each month. Place the recycling cart at the curb by 7:00 a.m. Put accepted recyclable materials loose in the cart; do not use garbage bags.

Large Items and Yard Debris

The Bridges on the River is in the District One first-week collection area. The first collection week begins on the first Monday of the month. Place eligible material at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on Monday at the beginning of the scheduled week, not earlier. Collection may occur at any time during that week and may be delayed. Restrictions apply to construction debris, hazardous materials, appliances, and other items.
